Below is a selection of work completed over the last 12 months. All these emerged while developing my portrait pieces (which
I am hoping to exhibit next year).

 

In this exploratory body of work I'm trying to discover new techniques of painting, new ways of handling the colour, finding new ways of expression. Interestingly, the further I go the more I want to go back to the familiar ground and start again with a fresher perspective. It's a never-ending process of walking in circles.

Each piece reflects feelings and thoughts that were occupying my head in the moment of making. For me, art will always be about filtering the world through emotional layers and expressing feelings through colour and brush strokes.
